LARC 3rd Month Forum: LARIAC Data for a Resilient Los Angeles Region

  • Loyola Marymount University (map)

The 3rd Month Forum is a public event series held quarterly to explore climate action efforts in the Los Angeles region.  This 3rd Month Forum will highlight the uses of LARIAC data throughout the Los Angeles Region to examine questions related to climate change and sustainability.

The Los Angeles Regional Imagery Acquisition Consortium (LARIAC) provides a valuable dataset that can help move the region towards resiliency.  Many organizations including universities, nonprofits, businesses and local governments, are already applying this data to a range of projects from analysis through policy and plan implementation.  At this 3rd Month Forum, Mark Greninger, Los Angeles County’s Geographic Information Officer, will give an overview of the LARIAC dataset. Panelists will highlight real applications such as: analysis of tree canopy coverage, solar panel potential and planning for sea level rise.

This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided by LMU CURes.

RSVP is requested by May 15, register here.

CALL FOR POSTERS: Are you using LARIAC data? We want to feature your work! We are setting up a poster gallery to display other innovative applications of LARIAC data for sustainability.
