Carbon Forward: Towards the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games is the official launch of a regional initiative to bring 1 million tons of low-carbon concrete alternatives to market by 2030, backed by the City of Los Angeles, City of Long Beach, County of Los Angeles, and USGBC California.

On September 17, 2026, USGBC-CA will be releasing the findings of a first-of-its-kind regional RFI on commercially available and emerging low-carbon concrete solutions, and convening the architects, engineers, policymakers, suppliers, and procurement leads who will put those findings to work.
