Description: This webinar will highlight flood risks, its impact on the San Diego region, and how we can leverage insurance solutions to build community and statewide climate resilience to disaster events. Webinar speakers will include experts from Insurance for Good and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Presentations will provide an overview of increasing flood risks in California and the San Diego landscape and how this risk intersects with insurance, and the pending impacts of El Nino and the value of preparing for flood risk early.  Additionally, speakers will highlight key takeaways from the latest report “Strengthening Incentives for Flood Risk Reduction in Catastrophe Modeling and Insurance: Recommendations for California Coastal Counties”  developed in partnership by the California Ocean Science Trust, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and the California Department of Insurance.
