The California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) and the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) are hosting an input session on the update of California’s Extreme Heat Action Plan.

This session will include:

• Background on the Extreme Heat Action Plan

• Overview of the Extreme Heat Action Plan Update Process

• Facilitated Q&A

• Breakout Rooms for 2022 Extreme Heat Action Tracks. Actions in the plan are organized into four tracks:

A: Build Public Awareness and Notification
B: Strengthen Community Services and Response
C: Increase Resilience of Our Built Environment
D: Utilize Nature-Based Solutions

CNRA and LCI are seeking your input on what success looks like and how this plan can remain useful and relevant to all Californians. The next iteration of the Extreme Heat Action Plan will be published on July 1, 2026, and every three years thereafter (SB 306, 2023).
