Housing Costs, Insurance Rates, and Rebuilding After Disasters

The second expert briefing in this year’s “Climate Change and Human Mobility” series explores how climate and disaster impacts are affecting the costs of housing, insurance rates, and decisions by communities on whether to stay or relocate away from at-risk areas. Moderated by Doug Parsons, host of the America Adapts podcast, this panel will also assess how local- and state-level decision-makers might be able to better plan for disasters through more innovative land use, zoning, or related financial tools.
