L.A. County’s plan to shift its entire bus fleet to electric by 2030 is leading the way for a decarbonized transportation future. Río-Jill Contreras of Multicultural Communities for Mobility, John Jones III of East Side Riders bike club, Seleta Reynolds of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, and urban planning professor Brian Taylor of the Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies and the Institute of Transportation Studies at UCLA discuss how to create decarbonized urban pathways and infrastructure that enhance access for pedestrians, drivers, bicyclists, and mass transit riders alike.
