Several groups are developing, or plan to develop, climate scenarios for California or for 
regions in California. These scenarios typically offer high enough spatial and temporal 
resolution to support impacts and adaptation studies as well as long-term planning. The 
California Energy Commission will soon begin an in-depth study of the vulnerability of 
the California energy system designed to identify adaptation options that will minimize 
the negative impacts.
