LARC 3rd Month Forum: Regional Coastal Impacts and Local Opportunities

The 3rd Month Forum is a public event series held quarterly to explore climate action efforts in the Los Angeles region. LARC's first forum addressed coastal impacts from sea level rise in Los Angeles with interactive panels and discussion. Featuring panel presentations from experts in marine and coastal science, social science, and coastal policy, planning and law, the Forum focused on the key findings in the Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Study for the City of Los Angeles and a new regional sea level rise planning initiative to inform Local Coastal Programs and other local plans. Additionally, staff from the California Coastal Commission presented information on the Draft Sea-Level Rise Policy Guidance Document and facilitated public comment.
